More than 15 persons from the Health Promotion Technical Working Group participated in a three day material development workshop to develop the materials to be used to create awareness on the benefits of PMTCT services in the H4+ Project Counties.  The H4+ Project brings together five United Nations agencies (UNICEF, UNFPA, WHO, UN WOMEN and the World Bank, plus UNAIDS) under one umbrella to support various aspects of the health system in selected counties of Liberia through the above named UN organs. The Project is supported by the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA).  The support is given by SIDA to the above UN Agencies, who in turn provide support to different components of the Liberian health system through selected national partners.  Having been assigned the Community Mobilization Component of the Project which has to do with “Creating Demand for PMTCT Services”, the UNAIDS has worked through several partners including the National AIDS Commission (NAC) to achieve this objective.
